Lava As big as the blocks to get 1
Diamond Pickaxe 1
Netherite Pickaxe 1

Creating Obsidian is very simple: you can choose get it from nature in survival mode, so follow the first option. If you are in creative mode, go directly to the second option.

OPTION ONE: GET OBSIDIAN FROM NATURE  IN SURVIVAL MODE

1. Go in search of lava

The first thing to do if you want to get obsidian from nature in survival mode is to go in search of the lava closest to where you are. Remember that it is very easy to find lava underground, even digging not too deep, or in the cracks in the mountains. You can sometimes find lava even on remote islets, often in small rivers that run down into the sea.

2. Throw a bucket of water on the lava

Now pay close attention to this step: remember that the lava is hot, so don’t get close enough to touch it and risk getting burned or worse, dying. Take a bucket of water and pour it over the lava. Just right click on the block just next to the lava. Remember that you can get it simply by starting three glass units placed in the workbench manufacturing grid and subsequently filling it with water at ponds, rivers or in the sea.

3. Dry the area by taking water from the ground

Under the body of water, the lava will have solidified and transformed into obsidian. So then you must necessarily drain the soil to remove the water and collect the obsidian. Doing this is very simple, you have to cover the space with clods of earth until you see the water disappear, then remove them.

4. Collect obsidian

Now wear a diamond or netherite pickaxe and dig the obsidian clicking with the right mouse button and holding it still until it splits. Then go over it and collect it little by little! Easy right? Remember that only with these tools will you be able to break the obsidian and bring it from the ground to your inventory.

OPTION TWO: FIND OBSIDIAN IN CREATIVE MODE

You can easily find Obsidian, if you are in creative mode, in the “Building Blocks” section
